Special counsel Jack Smith’s team has uncovered new details about former President Donald Trump’s actions during the U.S. Capitol attack.

Sources familiar with the probe revealed that Trump, as the violence escalated, was described as “not interested” in stopping it.

Trump’s aides, including Dan Scavino and Nick Luna, tried to persuade him to take action, but he remained angry about the election and did not immediately respond. (Trending: Michelle Obama Admits Being ‘Terrified’ Ahead of 2024)

The team also learned about internal discussions and efforts to get Trump to release calming statements, with Trump ultimately posting a message on Twitter hours after the violence began.

Dan Scavino reportedly told Trump in a phone call, “This is all your legacy here, and there’s smoke coming out of the Capitol.”

Nick Luna reportedly claimed that Trump demonstrated that he was “capable of allowing harm to come to one of his closest allies.”

The revelations shed light on Trump’s conduct during the Capitol riot.
