A U.S. Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopter crashed during a training exercise in Southern California.
All six crew members survived, with no immediate reports of critical injuries.
“Due to the nature of the training, a safety boat was on location,” the statement read.
The crash occurred in San Diego Bay, and the cause is under investigation.
The squadron involved is known for training air crews on the MH-60R Seahawk, the Navy’s primary helicopter for anti-submarine warfare and various other missions.
