Donald Trump is now targeting Nikki Haley, linking her to the unpopular legacy of former President George W. Bush.
Trump and his allies are attempting to paint Haley’s candidacy as a return to Bush’s policies, particularly in relation to immigration.

Nikki Haley is “Bush in Heels” and she can’t wait to send our sons to die in every foreign war that establishment Washington lusts to fund, fight, and send American troops to kill and be killed.

Although Haley has sought to dispel claims of being insufficiently conservative, her stance on immigration has drawn comparisons to Bush’s policies.
“Our farmers needed workers. We need to make sure we are focusing on the businesses, that they are not struggling to find workers,” Haley said.
“Our legal immigration system is completely broken.”
“It shouldn’t take someone 10 years to become a citizen, and we need to be smart about how we do it,” she said.
“Think about it: We have students that come from overseas, we educate them, and then we send them back home. I mean, that’s lunacy,” she said.
Trump’s campaign has sent out memos and articles associating Haley with Bush, aiming to dissuade undecided voters from supporting her.
The strategy raises questions about the support for pre-Trump-style Republicans and the potential impact on Haley’s candidacy.
“KISS OF DEATH: Nikki Haley Revives Bush Amnesty Policies,” a Trump campaign email read.
“The Bush brand is pretty toxic with the vast majority of the base,” Republican strategist John Feehery said.
Despite Bush’s declining popularity among Republicans during the Trump era, Haley has not distanced herself from him.
