Executives at Elon Musk’s companies, particularly SpaceX, expressed concerns about his alleged drug use, with reports of him being incoherent during a staff meeting and exhibiting erratic behavior.

The Wall Street Journal detailed Musk’s alleged use of drugs like LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, and ketamine, raising worries about the potential impact on company operations, government contracts, and the US space program.

The report also highlighted instances where Musk’s behavior, including smoking marijuana on a podcast, led to repercussions such as NASA’s insistence on adherence to federal drug guidelines and training for SpaceX employees.

However, Musk refuted a Wall Street Journal report claiming concerns over his drug use, stating that three years of random testing found no trace of illegal substances in his system.

Musk’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast led to NASA launching an investigation into drug use at SpaceX.

Musk wrote, “After that one puff with Rogan, I agreed, at NASA’s request, to do 3 years of random drug testing. Not even trace quantities were found of any drugs or alcohol,” he continued.

Musk described the report as, “not fit to line a parrot cage for bird 💩.”

“We stand by our reporting,” said a Wall Street Journal spokesperson.

According to biographer Walter Isaacson, “SpaceX was a NASA contractor, and they are big believers in the law.”

“So I had to be subjected to random drug tests for a couple of years,” explained the billionaire. “Fortunately, I really don’t like doing illegal drugs,” added Musk.

Musk mentioned that he and SpaceX employees were required to take random drug tests following the podcast incident.
