A recent Emerson College poll indicates that former President Donald Trump holds a significant lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the Nevada caucuses, with Trump at 73% and DeSantis at 8%.
Nikki Haley was not included in the poll as she chose to appear on the Nevada primary ballot instead of the party caucus.
The poll also showed Trump and President Joe Biden in a close race, with Trump at 47% and Biden at 45%. (Trending: Clintons Scramble To Delete Embarrassing Photo, But Were Too Slow)

Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, wrote, “With Nikki Haley opting to be named on the state primary ballot on Feb. 6 rather than the party caucus on Feb. 8, Trump does not have much competition on the ballot.”
“Candidates that chose to appear on the state-run primary ballot did so knowing that decision meant they could not earn delegates by appearing on the caucus ballots,” according to Nevada’s GOP website.
The poll suggests a tightening of the race since October.
