Several journalists and influencers had their accounts suspended by Elon Musk’s X platform, including Ken Klippenstein and Steven Monacelli.

The accounts were later reinstated, but no explanation was given for the suspensions.

Musk has criticized such moves as censorship in the past. (Trending: Joe Biden Sets New Presidential Record)

Some influencers also reported having their accounts suspended, with one user speculating that their posts critical of Israel and Bill Ackman may be the cause.

“I woke up and had missed a call from a journalist who wanted to talk to me about my suspension,” Monacelli said.

“So I was informed via other journalists who had called and emailed me this morning about it.”

Monacelli also noted that Texas has a law prohibiting social media companies from banning users based on their political viewpoints.

“I would certainly be interested in hearing from people who are First Amendment lawyers about how that might apply in a situation if they don’t provide some legitimate and well documented reason for my suspension,” Monacelli said.
