The House Oversight Committee found that Hunter Biden knew about 70% of his art buyers, contrary to the White House’s claim that he wouldn’t be informed about the purchasers.
Republicans are concerned about potential money laundering in the art world and believe the Biden family may be involved.

“Hunter Biden’s gallerist never had any communication with the White House about such an agreement to make sure there was any sort of ethics compliance at all, and he provided information to the committee revealing how Hunter Biden’s amateur art career is an ethics nightmare,” House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer said.
“The White House has a lot of explaining to do about misleading the American people.”
Hunter’s art dealer confirmed that Hunter knew most of the buyers, including prominent Biden donor Elizabeth Hirsch Naftali and Biden associate Kevin Morris.

Morris has significant ties to the Biden family, including controlling a stake in a Chinese state-backed fund and providing financial support to Hunter.
The details regarding Hunter’s legal fees and Morris’s control over the stake remain unclear.
