The Biden campaign reportedly holds off-the-record meetings with establishment media to discuss where they believe reporting fell short, aiming to instruct the media on how to negatively report on Trump.
This has raised concerns about media trust, with only 32% of Americans trusting the establishment media.
The campaign has organized off-the-record trips for political reporters and editors to provide background briefings and critique their reporting.
Biden’s criticism of media reporting on economic issues has also been highlighted, as polls show his approval rating is low and concerns about rising costs and the southern border dominate.
“Start reporting it the right way,” Biden said to reporters.
