Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft threatened to have President Biden removed from the state’s ballot, citing allegations of insurrection.
However, he was unable to provide specific examples to support his claim when questioned by CNN’s Boris Sanchez.
Ashcroft referenced statements from other politicians and pointed out the removal of Trump from state ballots, but failed to provide evidence of Biden’s alleged insurrection. (Trending: Joe Biden Sets New Presidential Record)

“What would then be your justification for removing Joe Biden from the ballot in Missouri. Has he engaged in your mind in some kind of insurrection?” asked Sanchez.
“There have been allegations that he’s engaged in insurrection,” Ashcroft responded.
“How so?” You can’t say something like that and not back it up,” said Sanchez.
“You interrupted me before I could back it up,” said Ashcroft.
“Are you scared of the truth?” he asked.
“If you’re going to make the claim give me some specifics. Are you just going to cite the governor of Texas or Florida and not actually say what they’re arguing? Do you know what they’re arguing?” pressed Sanchez.
Ashcroft failed to provide evidence for the claim that Biden engaged in similar acts as Trump.
