TV host Marc Malkin found himself stranded in the desert when his electric vehicle’s battery died after the Palm Springs Film Festival.
He called for a tow and was surprised to find himself charging next to Sean Penn and his publicist, Mara Buxbaum.
When his car wouldn’t charge, Penn and his publicist helped push Malkin’s car to a different charger. (Trending: Fox News Star Accused Of Major Scandal)

A source told PageSix, Buxbaum reportedly “came up to him and asked if he needed his car pushed.”
“She said, ‘You need someone to push your car?’” before helping Malkin with Penn.
“It was the funniest thing ever,” the source continued.
“Sean was a real-life hero,” exclaimed the source.
Eventually, Malkin’s car was up and running, allowing him to make it to pre-Golden Globes parties and co-host the show.
Sean Penn, who has been vocal about Ukraine, was attending an event to honor Penelope Cruz.
“When she wants us to understand, we do. When she wants us to feel, we feel, because she lets us,” said Penn.
