A former Mayo Clinic resident, Connor Bowman, has been indicted for first-degree murder after allegedly poisoning his wife, Betty, with gout medicine.
Betty died after being admitted to the hospital with stomach pain, and Bowman tried to have her cremated and stop an autopsy.
Investigators found suspicious online activity and evidence suggesting Bowman’s involvement in Betty’s death.
If convicted, he faces life in prison without parole.
A poison expert has been arrested for fatally poisoning his wife with the drug he was researching.
