An analysis by the Media Research Center revealed that in 2023, 81 percent of political jokes on major late-night shows targeted conservatives.
The study focused on 9,518 jokes from various shows, with Jimmy Kimmel Live leading in anti-conservative jokes at 88 percent.
The analysis also detailed the specific figures targeted, such as former President Donald Trump being the subject of 762 jokes, while President Biden was targeted 164 times. (Trending: Epstein’s Brother Finally Breaks His Silence)
“Fallon poked fun at 196 unique targets, 103 of whom were on the right, 85 of whom were on the left, and 18 of whom were non-partisan,” the watchdog group noted.
The study found that late-night shows varied in their focus, with some having a more balanced approach, and that James Corden’s show was the least partisan before its cancellation in April.
