A recent poll by the Washington Post and the University of Maryland’s Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement found that 36 percent of Americans believe President Joe Biden was illegitimately elected, with 9 percent of Democrats, 67 percent of Republicans, and 32 percent of Independents holding this view.

This represents a 5 percentage point increase from 2021.

Furthermore, the poll showed that less than half of Americans believe Trump should be disqualified from the presidency due to his actions on January 6.
