Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador admitted that the Gulf Cartel released 32 kidnapped migrants, contradicting previous claims by government officials that the police and military had rescued them.

The migrants were taken by gunmen from a bus and later set free in a shopping center parking lot.

This incident revealed government collusion with the cartel, as officials had contacted the Gulf Cartel about the release. (Trending: Hollywood A-Listers Revealed In Epstein Court Documents)

The Tamaulipas government had attempted to take credit for the rescue.

The governor of Tamaulipas, Americo Villarreal, has been implicated in supporting the Gulf Cartel.
