Steve Burton, a star actor from General Hospital, has returned to the show after being fired for refusing a COVID-19 vaccine in 2021.
He made a dramatic reappearance on the show during a special event.
Burton, who first appeared on the show in 1991, had also been a main character on Days Of Our Lives. (Trending: Epstein’s Brother Finally Breaks His Silence)
“I know there’s been a lot of rumors and speculations about me and ‘General Hospital’ and I wanted you to hear it from me personally,” Burton said previously.
“Unfortunately, ‘General Hospital’ has let me go because of the vaccine mandate.”
“Happy anniversary, ‘General Hospital.’ Stay tuned — big things coming to Port Charles,” the actor said.
In an interview, he expressed gratitude for his time on General Hospital despite the circumstances of his departure.
“That’s just the way it is,” he said. “I’ll aways be grateful for my time there. It was my family for so long. I grew up there and the fans have always been awesome to me.”
This comes after another co-star was fired for criticizing the show’s vaccine mandates and later sued ABC for religious discrimination.
