The Tucson Sector set a new record with approximately 80,000 migrant apprehensions in December, surpassing the previous record set in March 2000.

These reports coincide with upcoming impeachment hearings against U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who is set to visit the second-busiest Border Patrol sector but will not hold public meetings.
