A series of significant winter storms is set to impact the US, affecting millions of people.

The first storm will bring heavy snow and ice to the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, followed by a larger storm with multiple hazards including snow, ice, strong winds, tornadoes, and flooding.

“Confidence continues to increase for a highly impactful event spanning from Texas to the Great Lakes and Northeast U.S. through the middle of the week,” the Weather Prediction Center stated. (Trending: Pro Sport Announces Shock Decision On Transgender Athletes)

The storms are expected to affect areas from Texas to the Great Lakes and the Northeast.

The second storm is predicted to bring blizzard conditions and severe storms, with a risk of flooding and strong winds.

As the storms move northeast, heavy rain may cause flooding, particularly in areas recently affected by snow.

Following the storms, an Arctic air outbreak is expected to bring below-average temperatures and the potential for more snow.
