Mayra Flores, a Texas Republican and former member of Congress running for her old seat, faced a peculiar controversy dubbed “Grubgate.”
It emerged that she had reposted photos of Mexican food from other social media accounts as her own.
This ultimately raised questions regarding the authenticity of her social media content. (Trending: Hollywood A-Listers Revealed In Epstein Court Documents)

“As a proud Latina who knows how to cook, homemade Mexican food tastes better from a gas stove,” Flores wrote in reference to the Biden administrations potential ban on gas stoves.
Flores, the first Mexican-born member of Congress, was elected in 2022 but later ousted.
She downplayed the incident, attributing it to nostalgia and claiming no intent to mislead.
The controversy, while minor, has garnered attention amid her bid for reelection.
