Protesters, including individuals from so-called “Jewish” groups, disrupted the California State Assembly’s first legislative session, prompting lawmakers to leave.
The demonstrators, advocating for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war, chanted and sang, leading to a shutdown of the democratic process.
“It’s the third time in recent months that cease-fire demonstrators have disrupted a major political event in California, highlighting a widening rift between progressive activists and more mainstream Democrats over the conflict,” Politico wrote.
