Two former advisers to Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and a one-time aide to Ben Carson have admitted to unlawfully lobbying for Qatar.

Barry Bennett and Douglas Watts confessed to running advocacy groups for Qatar without registering as agents for the country.

They will have charges dismissed after a year if they comply with a deferred prosecution agreement.

Bennett and Watts will pay fines as part of the agreement, and the charges will be formally lifted after one year of compliance.

Bennett reportedly agreed to a $100,000 fine and Watts agreed to pay a $25,000 fine, according to the Justice Department.
