White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blamed House Republicans for the record number of illegal entries at the southern border, emphasizing the need for bipartisan cooperation on immigration.

She also criticized Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s handling of migrants, labeling it as a political stunt.

Jean-Pierre highlighted the administration’s efforts to address the border crisis and urged a focus on working together rather than pursuing impeachment inquiries. (Trending: Fauci’s Ex-Boss Admits The Truth About COVID)

Jean-Pierre said, “We need to continue to work together on border security, right? The president, first day in his administration, in a couple of weeks, we’re going to hit three years since the president’s been in the administration. The first thing that he put forward was a comprehensive immigration law.”

“And that’s because he believed that our system was broken and that it had been broken for decades and wanted to take that seriously,” continued Biden’s Press Secretary.

“But we need, we need Republicans in Congress to work with us on that. We appreciate the negotiations that are currently happening in the Senate. It’s headed in the right direction. We want to come up with a bipartisan agreement,” claimed Jean-Pierre.

“But we saw what the House passed, ending of last year. They wanted to take away law enforcement folks who are at the border trying to protect our border. And so that’s not what we want to see,” she explained.

“There’s a lot of ways that we can work with Congress instead of them going after the president’s family. They should really, truly, truly focus on the American family,” said Jean-Pierre.

“It is shameful that a Republican governor, Governor Abbott in Texas, is using migrants as a political stunt. That’s what he’s been doing,” said Jean-Pierre.

“And the busing of migrants, the putting them on flights, it is shameful that that is occurring. And instead of – if the governor really truly wants to deal with this issue, he should talk to the senators in his state and actually ask them to work with us,” she continued.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol recorded over 3.2 million illegal alien encounters at the southern border in fiscal year 2023, with many individuals given court dates for processing their asylum claims.
