Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has been transporting migrants to sanctuary cities, including Chicago, despite a new city ordinance targeting busing.
This includes flights and buses chartered by Abbott, with hundreds of asylum seekers being relocated.
“As many people may know, the City of Chicago recently adopted an ordinance with certain requirements related to the arrival of migrants,” Rockford International Airport officials statement stated. (Trending: Donald Trump Breaks His Silence After Major Court Win)

“As a result, the governor of Texas has redirected buses and planes to other nearby cities.”
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson implemented an ordinance to regulate migrant arrivals, leading Abbott to redirect buses and planes to nearby cities.
Johnson complained of “no communication from Texas, and the City of Chicago was alerted by authorities in Rockford regarding the flight.”
“Upon landing, asylum seekers were placed on buses chartered by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and dropped in various surrounding suburbs, left to find their way to the city,” he added.
“This is the second recorded instance of the Texas governor transporting asylum seekers via private plane.”
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker had previously asked non-sanctuary communities outside of Chicago to assist with incoming migrants, offering grants for support services.
