Jackson Mahomes, brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, had the worst charges dropped in his assault case in Kansas.
He was accused of sexually assaulting the owner of a restaurant, but the three felony charges have been dropped while the misdemeanor battery charge may still go to trial.
The alleged victim has claimed she will plead the Fifth and not testify, but prosecutors are proceeding with the case. (Trending: Trump Announces Heartbreaking Melania-Related Health Update)

“We have provided law enforcement with the tools and evidence they need to evaluate the claims against Jackson,” wrote Mahomes’ attorneys.
“Every interaction between people needs to be placed in the proper context. Releasing a short clip of any video does not provide proper context. We have faith in the process and look forward to swiftly resolving the matter,” the statement continued.
Video evidence shows Mahomes forcibly kissing the woman, and his attorneys have stated that the video is misleading.
Assistant District Attorney Megan Ahsens said, they “were prepared to proceed with the case because victims recant or become uncooperative for a host of reasons, and that does not mean that the original account to law enforcement was inaccurate.”
