Thirty-one migrants were rescued in Mexico after being kidnapped by armed and masked gunmen from a bus traveling to the Texas border.

The rescue operation was carried out by the army and national guard, and the migrants are now under medical care.

The bus carrying 36 people was intercepted near Rio Bravo, and the abducted migrants were from various countries.

Organized crime groups in the border area regularly kidnap migrants for ransom.
