Donald Trump made false claims on social media, accusing the Jan. 6 committee of destroying evidence and engaging in illegal actions.
He also alleged that Nancy Pelosi turned down 10,000 soldiers to guard the Capitol.

“THIS ACT OF EXTREME SABOTAGE MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR MY LAWYERS TO PROPERLY PREPARE FOR, AND PRESENT, A PROPER DEFENSE OF THEIR CLIENT, ME,” he said.
“Seems like someone is starting 2024 hangry.” Cheney said. “Lying about the evidence in all caps won’t change the facts. A public trial will show it all.”
Trump’s claims have since been debunked, and the committee’s actions were proven legal.
Trump’s accusations against Liz Cheney are based on falsehoods.
Despite fact checks, it’s expected that Trump will continue to push these false claims.
