A report from the OECD suggests that Ireland experienced no excess deaths during the pandemic years 2020 to 2022, indicating that many of those who died “with COVID” would have died regardless.
The Irish government enforced strict measures, including a ban on religious gatherings, the introduction of vaccine passes, and plans for a surveillance system, which were described as severe and Orwellian.
However, the research findings imply that these measures may not have been necessary, as Ireland’s death rate was lower than expected during that time. (Trending: Obama Judge Issues Shock Ruling Against Democrats)
The report also considered population increases and demographic changes when calculating excess deaths.
The Department of Health wrote, “Adjusting mortality rates to take account of these changes has shown that Ireland did not record excess mortality during 2020-2022. In fact, Ireland had a lower-than-expected death rate.”
