An illegal alien from Venezuela, Jose Leonardo Marquez-Marquez, was arrested outside the U.S. Capitol with a machete and knife.
He had been released into the U.S. interior by President Biden’s DHS after crossing the southern border.
Marquez was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon, and there is no evidence of targeting members of Congress. (Trending: Fauci’s Ex-Boss Admits The Truth About COVID)
Capitol Police said, “It is not yet clear what Marquez was doing in Washington, D.C..”
He initially arrived in the U.S. via the southern border, was arrested by Border Patrol, and released into the U.S. interior through the DHS’s Alternatives to Detention program.
After his arrest by Capitol Police, ICE agents lodged a detainer and transferred him to ICE custody.
