Father Tracks Down, Shoots Man Who Allegedly Beat His Daughter

A father in Wood River, Illinois, tracked down and shot a man suspected of beating his daughter.

The daughter arrived home showing signs of being beaten, prompting the father to search for the culprit.

The incident reportedly happened, “by Lewis and Clark Junior High School.”

An eyewitness reported that, “he heard a pop, he stepped outside and saw the [father] man standing over the younger one, pointing a gun at him.”

The eyewitness reported hearing, “That’s my daughter! She means everything to me!”

The man also allegedly shot the father.

Police arrived after shots were fired and both the alleged attacker and the father were taken for treatment of their gunshot wounds.
