Teen facing terrorism charges after alleged plot against certain students, staff at school

An 18-year-old fire cadet in Sidney, Iowa is facing multiple counts of threats of terrorism.

The cadet allegedly creating a “hit list” of people she wanted to commit arson against, including students and staff at her high school and other individuals in the community.

She sent the list to at least one other person on Snapchat and is being held on $5,000 bond.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said the fire cadet’s list included “people she had bad encounters with where she has a motive to carry out harming them.”

The investigation is ongoing.
