Two teenage brothers are facing charges after a family fight turned deadly on Christmas Eve in Largo.

The 15-year-old was jealous over the number of gifts their mother was buying his brother, leading to an argument.

The situation escalated at their grandmother’s home, where the 14-year-old shot his sister with a handgun, and the 15-year-old retaliated by shooting his brother.

The 14-year-old is charged with first-degree murder, child abuse, and firearm possession, while the 15-year-old is charged with attempted murder and evidence tampering.

The case will be reviewed to determine if the 14-year-old will be charged as an adult.
