Billy Joel performed at a New Year’s Eve concert at UBS Arena in Elmont, where he mentioned selling his 26-acre waterfront estate in Long Island.

He clarified that selling the house doesn’t mean he’s leaving Long Island, joking that he’ll spend more time in Florida.

The property includes a 20,000-square-foot main house, a beach house, and various amenities. (Trending: Melania Trump Announces Big Change For 2024)

Despite initially listing it for $32.5 million in 2008, he later put it on the market for $49 million.

Joel said, “Just because I’m selling that house doesn’t mean I’m leaving Long Island.”

“I’m just gonna spend a little more time in Florida like old Jewish guys from Long Island do,” he continued.

Joel is also active in the real estate market, owning a mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, and reportedly eyeing properties in the Sunshine State.

He will conclude his 10-year residency at Madison Square Garden in July.
