Many Californians are relocating to Arizona, particularly to Phoenix, as a result of the high cost of living.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, between 2017 and 2021, about 184,000 people moved from California to Arizona, making it a popular relocation destination.

Maricopa County was identified as the “largest-gaining county” in the U.S., while Los Angeles County saw the largest decline.
Additionally, significant migration occurred between California, Texas, and Florida during this period.
