A tragic crash in Texas resulted in the deaths of six family members after their minivan was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old on the wrong side of the highway.
The victims included Rushil Barri, his cousin, his cousin’s wife, two children, and in-laws.
Another passenger suffered critical injuries. The teenage driver and his passenger also sustained critical injuries. (Trending: Could Taylor Swift Save Biden In 2024?)
The reason for the pickup truck’s wrong-way driving remains unclear.
Rushil Barri, who moved to the US from India, was described as ambitious and determined.
“We were in shock, like what just happened,” Barri’s roommate said.
“We tried reaching everyone in the car and no one is picking up.”
“We were like brothers,” he added.
“He’s actually like my brother over here. He had very big dreams. He always used to think about tomorrow. He used to be like ‘Man, we need to rule this world.’”
“We came here with a lot of struggles,” he said.
“For an unknown reason at this time, the Chevrolet pickup truck traveled into the northbound lane and struck the Honda Odyssey head-on,” Sgt. William Lockridge said.
