Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., is moving to a neighboring congressional district for re-election, leaving her current district after controversies and a tough re-election battle.
Despite claiming personal reasons for the move, she’s seen as seeking a more conservative district due to her hard-right and inflammatory activism.
“It’s the right move for me personally, and it’s the right decision for those who support our conservative movement,” she said.
Her decision comes after facing strong fundraising competition and criticism for her behavior, including a scandal at a theater.
Prominent Republicans, including former Gov. Bill Owens and former Sen. Hank Brown, have endorsed her primary challenger, citing her divisive image.
The move has shifted the political dynamics in her original district, highlighting concerns about her approach to politics and service to constituents.
