A nature enthusiast in South Lake Tahoe, California, used a paintball gun to evict a 500-pound black bear from a crawlspace under a house.
The man, Toogee Sielsch, has a history of encounters with the bear, which he refers to as “B.” Sielsch has a deep connection with the bear and has even assisted in saving its life by removing a collar.
He emphasizes the importance of experience and training when dealing with wildlife and often employs non-lethal methods to deter bears from returning. (Trending: Melania Trump Announces Big Change For 2024)
An onlooker said, “He’s a big bear, oh my goodness.”
“Oh yeah, he’s 500 pounds, easy,” said Sielsch.
“I promise he’s just fine and will surely find another safer spot to [go] over winter,” explained Sielsch.
“PS, don’t even think about doing what I did there unless you have years of training and experience,” he added.
Sielsch’s actions reflect his dedication to his community and passion for bear behavior, but he stresses the importance of safety when dealing with such situations.
“It’s kind of become my passion,” said Sielsch.
“I love my community and this is how I pay them back,” added Sielsch.
“Safety is the most important factor,” declared Sirlsch.
