Vice President Kamala Harris received criticism for sharing a photo in which she and second gentleman Doug Emhoff were standing next to a gas stove while preparing Christmas beef Wellington.

Conservatives questioned her use of a gas stove, given the Biden administration’s previous proposal to limit its use due to health and environmental concerns.

The administration’s plan to ban gas stoves was met with heavy opposition, leading to a proposed Department of Energy regulation for tougher energy efficiency standards. (Trending: Trump Releases Must-See Christmas Message)

“Is that another gas stove?” Rep. Mike Collins commented.

“I thought we’re supposed to eat less red meat for the climate?” Mary Vought said.

Harris received similar criticism after posting a photo on Thanksgiving showing her and Doug’s kitchen.

“This is a hidden hazard,” U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s Richard Trumka Jr. said of gas stoves.

“Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”

The House of Representatives approved an amendment to prevent the implementation of strict new regulations, with support from both parties.

Approximately 38% of American households use natural gas for cooking.
