Cleese wrote on X: “Five ways that Hitler was preferable to Trump

Cleese wrote, “he doesn’t practice genocide” and “he has nicer hair” about former president Donald Trump.
“Trump is a better human being than Hitler. Will you be able to sleep now?” Cleese wrote back to a commenter.
“Some people think it was funny, AND not true,” responded Cleese to another user.
“Good lord, what in the Life of Brian is this stupidity?” wrote Aaron Worthing
“And it’s worth noting Trump is preferable because, in addition to your points: 3. He didn’t become a dictator 4. His Supreme Court appointments strengthened freedom of expression and the right to bear arms—two important bulwarks of our democracy 5. He made historic strides in Middle East peace and kept Putin out of Ukraine,” added Worthing.
“I’ll be the first to admit he has flaws but this is ridiculous,” he concluded.

“Is he trying to say he finds Hitler preferable? Because I really don’t think it matters about preferable qualities. Only 1 was responsible for a Holocaust,” replied a follower.
