Florida Governor Ron DeSantis warned that former President Trump may use government power against political opponents if re-elected, highlighting Trump’s focus on revenge and legal troubles.

DeSantis criticized Trump’s legal issues and called for accountability, while also suggesting that Trump’s legal challenges could be part of a strategic plan.

“Trump is fine with weaponization if it’s against people he doesn’t like,” said DeSantis.

“This whole legal stuff has had a big impact on the overall dynamics,” he continued.

“Are we going to have some type of accountability?” asked the Florida governor.

“Are we going to have a reckoning for this, or are we just going to act like everyone did such a great job?” he added.

“This is all very strategic,” said DeSantis.

“Don’t listen to the media, don’t listen to them cite polls,” he continued. “Put it aside and do what you think is right.”

Despite DeSantis’s focus on Iowa and endorsements, he trails Trump by a significant margin in national primary polls.
