Radical Islamic terrorists attacked several predominantly Christian villages in Nigeria on Christmas Day, resulting in over 160 deaths and 500 injuries.

The attacks left hundreds homeless and destroyed many homes in the central Nigerian Plateau State.

The terrorists targeted Christian communities, killing pastors, women, children, and the elderly. (Trending: Democrat Targets U.S. Troops With New Gun Control Law)

Nigerian security services arrived late, and the government faced criticism for failing to protect the people.

The Nigerian army is planning clearance operations, but Amnesty International criticized the government for its failure to protect its citizens.

Dawzino Mallau, a resident of Bokkos County, said, “Some pastors were killed, and another pastor and his wife and five children were killed during these attacks.”

“These terrorists who attacked these Christian communities were in the hundreds, and they carried out the attacks as the hapless Christians were preparing for Christmas programs lined up by their pastors,” Mallou continued.

Alfred Mashat, also from Bokkos, said, “About 160 Christians in these villages were killed by the terrorists.”

“We believe they are carrying out these attacks alongside armed Muslim Fulani herdsmen,” Mashat continued.

Sunday Dawum said, “I called security, but they never came.”

“The ambush started six in the evening, but security reached our place by seven in the morning,” continued the youth leader.

Newly elected President Bola Tinubu ordered the mobilization of relief resources for the survivors.

Rev. Danjuma Mandik said, “We had just finished our evening devotion when we heard gunshots.”

Plateau Gov. Caleb Mutfwang said, “This is unacceptable. Enough is enough. These stupid, senseless and unprovoked acts must stop.”

The Christian Post reported, “Nigeria led the world in Christians killed for their faith in 2022, with 5,014, according to Open Doors’ 2023 World Watch List (WWL) report.”

Amnesty International’s Nigeria director Isa Sanusi said, “Sometimes they claim to make arrests, but there is no proof they have done so.”

“The brazen failure of the authorities to protect the people of Nigeria is gradually becoming the norm,” added Sanusi.
