The Democratic Party has criticized House Republicans for voting to investigate President Joe Biden’s alleged improper enrichment of himself and his family.
George Washington University professor Jonathan Turley and the public believe the GOP has a valid case.

The Washington Post editorial acknowledged President Biden’s deplorable actions, particularly in relation to his son’s business dealings.
Bill McGurn’s piece in the Wall Street Journal also criticizes the president’s conduct.
President Biden continues to deny any wrongdoing, but evidence is piling up against him.
“Despite overwhelming evidence of a corrupt Biden family influence operation worth millions of dollars, not a single Democratic [House] member voted for an inquiry into the allegations,” Turley noted.
The Democrats “voted to stop any further inquiry.”
“Hunter Biden’s lawyer Abbe Lowell says Hunter would never have been charged if he had a different last name because he had already paid the back taxes that he owed when indicted,” the report noted.
“That’s debatable,” the Post wrote.
“Hunter Biden would never have earned most of the money he allegedly dodged paying — $1.4 million in federal taxes over four years — if not for his last name.”
“My son has not made money” in China, Biden said.
James Comer said there is “now a pattern of members of the Biden family using their bank accounts that have been funded by Chinese and other foreign entities to send money to Joe Biden.”
“The president and his defenders continue to insist there is no evidence of wrongdoing. But while there may not be absolute proof, there is plenty of evidence — and it’s growing,” Bill McGurn wrote.
The situation may impact the Democrats in the next election and could damage Biden’s reputation.
