South Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun, known for his role in “Parasite,” was found dead in an apparent suicide.
He had been under investigation for alleged drug use, leading to a decline in his career.
Lee, a graduate of Korea National University of Arts, had a celebrated acting career, but faced challenges after the drug scandal.
His last film, “Sleep,” was well-received critically. South Korea has strict drug laws, and Lee apologized for the incident before his death.
He is survived by his wife and two sons.
