Two recent lawsuits filed by the Liberty Justice Center challenge executive orders issued by the mayors of Omaha and Lincoln, alleging that the orders violate a new state gun law.

The law allows concealed carry without a permit and overrides stricter local laws.

The lawsuits claim that despite the new law, the mayors issued orders banning firearms from city property, while the city councils have not repealed related ordinances. (Trending: Joe Biden Emailed Hunter’s Business Associates 54 Times)

“The mayors of Omaha and Lincoln have defied state law with their executive orders, and we look forward to seeing those orders and other city firearms regulations struck down,” Jacob Huebert stated.

The state Attorney General’s opinion also stated that the executive orders violate residents’ Second Amendment rights and the Nebraska Constitution.
