Hamas’s leader demands the release of all Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails for a new truce deal, rejecting a temporary offer.

The group also seeks a lasting ceasefire and the halt of Israeli combat operations in Gaza.

The Israeli Defense Forces uncovered a network of tunnels in Gaza, and the World Health Organization reports a lack of functional hospitals in northern Gaza due to fuel, staff, and supplies shortages.

“There are actually no functional hospitals left in the north,” said WHO representative Richard Peeperkorn.

“Al-Ahli [Hospital] was the last one but it is now minimally functional: still treating patients but not admitting new ones.”
