Robert F. Kennedy Jr. criticized the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to disqualify Donald Trump from the state’s ballot, calling it one of the “craziest” decisions he has ever seen.
He emphasized the potential consequences for the nation and expressed concerns about the lack of due process.
Kennedy also suggested that the decision could inadvertently strengthen Trump’s political support by portraying him as a victim of a rigged system. (Trending: Judge Announces Historic Ruling In Jeffrey Epstein Case)
“Yeah, we’d say that’s not really a democracy,” he explained.
“If they succeed, which I don’t think they will, the decision is crazy, you know,” continued RFK Jr.
According to Kennedy, “Then it’s gonna leave half the people angry, and rightly so… People should be able to vote for who they want to vote for… and by the way, it was no due process.”
“He wasn’t convicted of insurrection,” said said presidential candidate.
Trump’s campaign vehemently criticized the ruling, accusing the court of interfering in the election and denying Colorado voters the right to choose their preferred candidate.
“Democrat Party leaders are in a state of paranoia over the growing, dominant lead President Trump has amassed in the polls. They have lost faith in the failed Biden presidency and are now doing everything they can to stop the American voters from throwing them out of office next November,” wrote Trump’s spokesman Steven Cheung.
Adding, “The Colorado Supreme Court issued a completely flawed decision tonight and we will swiftly file an appeal to the United States Supreme Court and a concurrent request for a stay of this deeply undemocratic decision.”
The case is on hold for appeal until January 4, 2024.
