Waffle House Customer Shoots Man Who Allegedly Threatened Patrons

In Birmingham, Alabama, a Waffle House customer shot and killed a man who was allegedly threatening patrons in the restaurant.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m., and the customer got into an altercation with the suspect before shooting him.

“Jefferson County Sheriff’s Lt. Joni Money indicated that deputies were called about the man who was allegedly threatening patrons, but one of the restaurant’s customers got into ‘an altercation’ with the suspect and shot him before deputies reached the scene,” the report noted. The customer then fled the scene. The deceased suspect was 26 years old.
