Travis Kelce defended Taylor Swift after rumors of New England Patriots fans booing her at a game.
He praised Swift’s popularity and mentioned that most fans were cheering for her, despite a few boos.
Kelce also acknowledged the Patriots for showing her on the screen and mentioned Swift’s comments about their relationship timeline. (Trending: Assault Weapons Ban Set To Take Effect, Here’s What To Know)
“They showed Taylor at the game, and I mean you don’t see an entire home team fan base go insane for somebody wearing the opposite team’s colors,” Travis said.
“It just shows you how amazing that girl is,” he added.
“They went absolutely insane when they showed Taylor on the screen.”
“There might have been a few Brads and Chads that were booing, but for the most part everybody was f—— screaming their tail off for her.”
“I was trying to keep it cool,” Travis said, laughing.
“I was like, ‘Don’t show your cards, don’t show your cards.’ It was fun, man. Shout out to the Patriots, New England.”
“Taylor, she’s on record saying that that stadium is one of the funnest that she’s played at, so for them to show her is just kind of showing her some love. So shout out to the Patriots for doing that.”
Swift also discussed their relationship, stating that they were already a couple when she attended Kelce’s game.
She expressed gratitude for having private time to get to know each other before their relationship became public.
“This all started when Travis [Kelce] very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift said.
“We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple,” she added.
“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift added.
“The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
