Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, is proposing a bill to cut federal funding for colleges and universities that require students to endorse diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ideologies.

The bill aims to prevent institutions from compelling statements related to race, color, or ethnicity, except for basic demographic information.

It would leverage funds under the Higher Education Act to enforce compliance. (Trending: FBI Bribery Probe Caught Joe Biden’s Brother On Tape)

Crenshaw argues that DEI initiatives are responsible for a toxic campus culture and wants to prohibit the use of these statements for acceptance or employment standards.

“We can see the utter moral bankruptcy in higher education with the spread of antisemitism on college campuses.” Crenshaw said.

“Make no mistake — the DEI bureaucracy is directly responsible for a toxic campus culture that separates everyone into oppressor vs oppressed.”

This comes amid a broader trend of states introducing bills to limit DEI initiatives in higher education.
