Despite being diagnosed with a severe mental illness, he is considered competent to stand trial.

Sidhwaney is “suffering from a severe mental disease or defect, namely delusional disorder with psychosis,” his psychological evaluation read.

The man faces up to five years in prison.

This incident is not isolated, as another individual was arrested for allegedly attempting to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
