President Joe Biden’s declining national polls are attributed to inflation, according to Democrat pollster Stanley Greenberg.
Biden’s approval rating has hit an all-time low, with a significant disapproval of how he’s handling inflation.
There’s a call for a new approach to address rising prices, with a focus on enacting income tax credit, cutting drug prices, and lowering health costs. (Trending: Judge Announces Historic Ruling In Jeffrey Epstein Case)
Greenberg emphasized the need to acknowledge the impact of inflation and engage with voters on this issue, as many feel the country is on the wrong track.
“When your approval with your base is lower than … your opponent, you know … you need a new start,” Greenberg said.
“What matters [to voters] is how many months people have been struggling to deal with inflation, and each month they get madder and madder about it as long as their wages are trailing prices.”
“They are losing ground every month,” Greenberg said.
“What the president currently is doing is still talking about progress,” Greenberg said.
“And you can’t talk about progress when three-quarters of the country think we’re on the wrong track. So you have to stop on the notion that we’re making progress.”
“You have to get where people are, and where they are is on the rising prices.”
“They need to stop with their own voters and say, We get it. If inflation is the biggest problem, we get it. We know. We know what you’ve been through. We’re in touch with that. Here’s what we’re dealing with it.”
The survey results in battleground states were described as “grim” for Biden.
