Pro-Hamas activists disrupted activity in the Capitol Rotunda during the lying in state of retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
The U.S. Capitol Police responded by arresting a number of intruders. The group responsible, ‘US Campaign for Palestinian Rights,’ had previously stormed the Hart Senate Capitol Office Building and posted video of the incident.
The organization’s parent group, ‘Education for Just Peace in the Middle East,’ received funding from Soros’ non-profit and has been accused of using charity status to support Hamas and other Palestinian groups. (Trending: Judge Announces Historic Ruling In Jeffrey Epstein Case)

The activists were part of a multifaith coalition protesting military funding to Israel and anti-immigrant policies.
Around 60 people were arrested for demonstrating inside Congressional Buildings, and images of the arrests were shared by news correspondents.
“We were aware of a group’s potential plan to take a tour of the U.S. Capitol Building and then start a protest,” the Capitol Police stated.
“It is against the law to demonstrate inside the Congressional Buildings, so we brought in additional officers to be prepared for the moment the group would break the law.”
“The group was screened when they entered the building. Once they broke the law, roughly 60 people were immediately arrested for D.C. Code § 22–1307 – Crowding, Obstructing, or Incommoding.”
“PS – Demonstration is all clear at this time.”
“How they got the signs into the Capitol Rotunda while on public tours is beyond me. I’ve been stopped carrying posters through the Rotunda multiple times and had to show staff ID just to bring charts to the House floor,” Ben Kamens, Communications Director for the Office of Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) said.
